Burlington & Halton Region one of the Safest in Canada
|
| According to a recent survey taken by Macleans magazine of the country's safest Canadian communities our own Halton region came up almost at the top. It was only outranked by the smaller communities of Caledon ON. Maskoutain MRC Que and Nottawasaga ON. It was also rated as the safest place in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). So if you are looking to move please don't hesitate to contact me for more information on where is one of the best places to settle. |

The facts listed below explain why buying a home now is one of the smartest investment moves you can make within your lifetime.
Land is proportionately less available for an increasing number of people and municipal areas. The laws of supply and demand do come into play. With the average home now costing over $300,000 it is not cheap! However, the same supply and demand philosophy applies to renting. When you pay rent it goes to the landlord and nothing accrues from all that rent money. Land I believe is a good investment.! Heard of anyone inventing land lately?
The freedom of owning your own home is incomparable to the rules and regulations of renting.
You can redecorate at your whim.
The lifestyle of a homeowner is different. When you own a home your neighbours have a stake in ownership like you and therefore care about their properties and neighbourhood. Quite naturally, they are will to invest
time, money and their effort into improving and maintaining their property. This, of course, improves the values of all properties, even yours.
The equity build-up. With every mortgage payment you are building up equity.
Inflation keeps a home’s value rising. Although this is never guaranteed –real estate has historically kept pace with inflation, and usually homes appreciate faster than the rate of inflation! Waiting could cost you more, or you may have to settle for less.
Capital gains. The current tax laws are designed to give benefits to homeowners. You generally don’t pay on the gains made on your principal residence.
The appreciation of existing homes has regularly been on the rise since the middle of the last century.
Improvements made wisely can help you realize some big dividends when you sell later.
Trade up benefits will afford you a chance at a second or better home that otherwise might not have been possible for you to acquire.
Retirement security will be started the first day you make a mortgage payment. With time the equity position will assure you of a home equity loan or possible equity for your retirement if you should sell your home.
Investment property for some is proving to be a sound income investment.
The interest rates usually should not prohibit you from purchasing a home.
There are more and more programmes than ever before helping you qualify.
Mortgage qualification. There are more and more options available including for those who have the income but not deposit. Those who don't quite qualify can now investigate longer terms which help them qualify!!
The best suggestion of all is to set up an appointment with me where we can review your specific needs. I can assure you, I want to help you find an affordable home that accommodates all of your needs and desires.
